In 2017, End of Life Washington developed and published one of the first dementia directives for stopping eating and drinking. But in 2024, EOLWA retired its advance directive in favor of the more recently advance directive developed by the National VSED Advance Directive Committee with the Northwest Justice Project.
I am providing a copy of EOLWA's advance directive here for research purposes only. Individuals engaged in advance care planning should use the newer NJP Advance Directive for Voluntary Stopping of Eating and Drinking (VSED Directive) available here.
